Prof. Dr. Moniek Tromp

Catalyst characterisation
ISHC 2018 secretary

Photos and films of chemical reactions under catalytic conditions

Professor Tromp’s chair in Catalyst Characterisation develops state-of-the art spectroscopy methodologies to investigate catalytic systems in detail, while they are active, as such providing insights in their performance and functionality. A special focus is on X-ray methodologies. Measurements and training, for academic as well as industrial projects, can be provided on request. Also, the chair is involved in European coordination of catalysis.

Professor Tromp has also developed high quality promotional material to highlight catalysis as a key enabling technology that is required to meet the challenges of the 21st century. The video targets both secondary school students, and politicians. Eventually, the video was translated into eight languages. The translations can be found at Professor Tromp’s YouTube channel.

Professor Tromp’s chair for Catalyst Characterisation can be found at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. She is also visiting professor at the Technische Universit√§t M√ľnchen.
